upper back pain between shoulder blade and spine, hurts when breathing in deeply. slight mucus producing cough, what could it be?

Pleurisy: Sometimes if there's inflammation in the lungs due to infection il it might involve the outer lining of the lung which is called the pleura. If The pleura becomes irritated then you could have "pleurisy" which can cause pain in the chest when you take a deep breath. If you have a fever and the symptoms persist you should have this checked out by your physician
