Bad cough for past 14yrs.doc said allergies (shots helped a bit)coughing all day, mucus 24/7,sharp pain in back when breathing. maybe something diff?

Other work up?: How were allergies confirmed and how long did you receive shots? was there a build-up period? If not done correctly, then allergy shots will be ineffective. The work up for chronic cough should include imaging (xray and maybe ct scan) and consideration of several likely causes: vocal cord problem, asthma, infection, allergies, nasal irritants, meds, acid reflux (that could cause back pain)
