Coughing up Tonsills: U can't cough up your tonsills! What many people end up coughing with strep infection are debris which collects over their enlarged tonsills and collects in between the tonsillar crypts, called exudates. Since they reside on tonsills, they may take its shape. Those are gen small specks of 2-3 mm, but can be occasionally larger. Make sure u complete your treatment for strep and use oral hygeine.
