A member asked:

How does chronic appendix pain feel ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Localized to RLQ: Chronic appendicitis is not uncommon. When the process begins in the lining of the AP it produces periumbilical pain. When it progresses to the surface the pain is in the rt. lower quad of the abdomen and frequent has rebound tenderness. When chronic especially after antibiotics without surgery it can persist as a chronic condition which should subside otherwise delayed surgery may be indicated.
