Why am i still in pain with strep throat after 4 days of taking amoxicillin i've had this 12 yrs in a row first year i didn't go to doctor?

Are You Sure: Firstly did you get tested for Strep. If you did and was positive then Amoxicillin is the correct drug for you. Stick with the antibiotic, finish the course, gargle with salt water, drink warmed fluids. If you did not test positive and a culture was sent, await the culture report. It may not be strep. there are so many other causes for sore throat.
