Tonsil?: It is possible that you saw is your tonsil. If the growth is on your soft palate them follow up visit ill be needed from you doctor.

Second Opinion: If concerned it's a good idea to talk to more than one doctor. More than 50% of all doctor office visits are for ENT problems. Some ENT specialists limit their practices to one of super-specialty area. ENT's inclinations are important and many time a second opinion helps to conclude at a correct diagnosis.

Pimple: Probably "fine," just as the ENT said. May be a benign growth that will always be there. If you are uncomfortable with its presence, or if you begin to notice symptoms (growth, sensitivity, color change, bleeding, etc) have it reevaluated. A second opinion, by the way, is never out of order. You might want to ask an Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeon to take a look.
