Yes: If the asthma is bad enough, then yes, Prednisone can be used. There may be safer, less intense, alternatives like inhaled steroids, or bronchodilators, like albuterol (ventolin or proair), but there use really depends on the severity of the asthma attack. Your doctor will be able to tell you this.

Yes: There is no significant adverse effect on your baby if you're taking prednisone. I would be much more concerned about the adverse effects on you if you need Prednisone and don't take it!
