Your doc: Your treating doc will be best to address your current symptoms based on knowledge of your condition. An exam will be needed specifically if there is a possibility of an infection as well, viral or bacterial. If your doc unavailable and symptoms are significantly worse, a local urgent care will serve you best.

See a doctor.: You need to see a physician to find out why you are not responding to your medications. Could be you have an infection. So you need to get examined and perhaps some tests.
