See your DR: If you have asthma, avoid all smoke, avoid all cats. Best management is inhalers and nebulizers. You say "high dose" prednisone. Not possible to comment without details. Best oral dosing for asthma is 20mg in AM with water every other day for a few doses only. Best use of steroid for asthma is by inhaler. If you have a rash it is likely due to something else. A dermatologist will sort it out. Ecze

Not much: Unfortunately, there is not much to do about a steroid-associated rash until you're able to get off of it. The best approach is to see an allergist to make sure you're doing everything possible to control the asthma to the point that you don't have to resort to oral steroids for exacerbations.
