Complex: Get admitted to an accredited medical school first then a 3-year residency in internal medicine or pediatrics and become board-certified in either of these fields. After that a 2 to 3 year fellowship in allergy and immunology followed by an exam to get board certified as an allergist. At age 39, it may be a very long road for you but it is not impossible.
