No: Alprazolam is an benzodiazepine and may cause birthdefects. Prozac (fluoxetine) used to be considered safe, but recently there are reports of abnormal muscle tone and irritability in the infants. No drugs are good in pregnancy I fear. Try THE MINDFULWAY THROUGH DEPRESSION by Williams or if really depressed there is now TMS; if that doesnt' work, ECT works like magic for severe depression
