Straightforward: Simple -- run. Not quite that simple. You can build endurance with LSD -- Long Slow Distance. However you will reap huge benefits with interval training , including "fartlek" training . Also,1 day /week track sessions targeting speedwork with repetitions at specific timed intervals will help greatly. So, you will get faster, stronger, and be able to go longer.
