Here are...: Sorry to see.... It can recur if the inciting factors are not removed. Indwelling catheter will surely induce bacteria to the urine in time (100 % in 2 weeks, no matter what we do.) How long does she need a catheter? That depends on how soon her bladder function may recover; but often, some patient might already have silent bladder dysfunction before CVA.
