Bacteria will grow in the urine for the catheter is a foreign object- but that is not an infection." could this be shoving up my blood sugar numbers? or does only utis do that?

Presence of bacteria in urine may represent colonization or catheter associated UTI based on specifics of the test result. As any other infection a UTI may cause a bump in blood glucose, simple colonization should not cause significant changes in blood sugars.
