A member asked:

Would mri scan show kidney disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"Disease": "Disease, " yes; but not necessarily what type of disease. "Dense"/scarred parenchyma may still need to be biopsied to determine the actual tissue disease. On the other hand, an MRI may be a better test to assess rensl masses (eg renal cell carcinoma vs benign neoplasms).
