Dr. Bennett Machanic
Neurology 52 years experience
Your choice, BUT: If you give it time, the disc will desiccate and shrink over about 9-10 months, but if it is causing unbearable pain and causing progressive weakness and muscle atrophy and threatening bladder function, best to have it fixed.
Dr. Layne Hermansen
Specializes in Family Medicine
Also consider steroid epidural.
