Many options: Unfortunately, no cure exists for Meniere's disease, but some strategies may help you manage some symptoms. Here are just a few: vestibular rehabilitation therapy, middle ear injections (ENT), diuretics (Dyazide), Meniett device (not sure about long term) East West Medicine integration (acupuncture) and rule out TMJ at the affected side. Have you heard of vertigo causing memory loss? Had an attack of vertigo last Wednesday and have had short term memory issues and weakness since. No tests run at emergency room, only given meclizine Valium and something for upset stomach.
I have had meniere's for many years. It is getting worse. I have been prescribed 5 mg 2x daily of Valium to help with the vertigo. Is this safe?
