I have had meniere's for many years. it is getting worse. i have been prescribed 5 mg 2x daily of valium to help with the vertigo. is this safe?

Yes: Valium is an excellent drug to control the dizzyness symptoms of ménière's syndrome. Hopefully you are also watching your diet avoiding caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, salt, fat and processed foods. There are other medications that can also be helpful. This should all be discussed with your ENT doctor.
