Need more info: Though diabetes is a risk equivalent for cardiac complications and is important, there are other risk factors that must be considered before starting statin therapy. Talk it over with your physician.

Try diet and statin: luckily, your HDL is good and triglycerides slightly high , but cholesterol and LDL are high , so you need medicine -statin and diet specially if you are overweight , to bring cholesterol and LDL at normal values. It is important to control your blood pressure as well.
