Possibly: it depends on what they are basing the diagnosis on. I'd guess they probably saw enhancement on an mri, and if that's the case, it might not be ms. if they were basing their diagnosis on lumbar puncture results, then that is more accurate. presentation of symptoms would also play a role in the answer.
