Unlikely: Although primary lateral sclerosis can be disabling, it is no where near as bad as als. You shouldn't be thinking about that but how you can best follow your neuologists instructions to get better.

Just one caveat: There are some variations of motor neuron disease that respond to a variety of medications, and, in some cases, a peripheral nerve disorder called multifocal motor neuropathy can be tough to diagnose. Check with your doctor regarding the status of anti-gm-1 antibody, igg and igm, just to be sure.
