I saw my gyn yesterday for a uti and am on macro bid now but overnight developed fever, cough and chest pain. is this ok or something worse?

UTI, cough: If the cough and fever persist, you should go see your family doctor or internist. Or maybe the gyn doctor can listen to your lungs and see whether or not you need a chest xray, labwork.

Consult your doctor: Any change in the character of your symptoms while on treatment is concerning. Could be a worsening of the uti, could be a drug reaction, could be a new infection or other unrelated event. Regardless, you should reconsult with your score immediately. If the UTI is worsening and spreading to the kidney or blood, Macrobid will not treat this.
