Copd: Your oxygenation and vital signs, at this time, don't indicate serious exacerbation of your copd. The nonproductive cough appears tracheal rather than bronchial or pulmonary. Soothing cough medication like robitussinDM should help. Rest and fluid intake are advised. See your physician if symptoms don't show improvement or worsen.

COPD: Have you had an exam of the lungs to evaluate need for steroids, or increased treatment of COPD during infection? Also, if you have just started the Z pack it may take a week to have significant effect.

Other than COPD, what would cause shortness of breath& pain w/breathing in, plus focal airspace disease on chest X-ray? No cough/fever/phlegm.
Spirometer normal 3 months ago. Sob got chest X-ray bloodwork diagnosed mycoplasma pneumonia.follow up X-ray clear but still sob with thick clear white mucus.have lpr also. Fev1 has been lowered since this began. Pulse ox bloodwork normal. Is it COPD?
