Respiratory infectio: Call your physician and describe your symptoms and concerns. You may require antibiotics for a bronchial infection. Resolution of fever is reassuring. Your physician will determine the best course of action for you and may be willing to prescribe treatment without needing to examine you. It's a judgment call and often a valid course of action to treat without physically examining the patient.

Call or virtual: A phone call to your physician's office or a virtual appointment with Healthtap will help to determine the your risk factors. Post nasal drip may contribute to your wet cough. Nasal saline rinses may be used to reduce post nasal drip. If the fever returns, pneumonia is another possible cause of your infection.
