See answer: Overactive Bladder (OAB) is symptom syndrome and diagnosis made when all other causes have been ruled out. If your excessive urinary frequency was associated with discomfort or pain in the bladder or pelvic region, I would want to first rule out Interstitial Cystitis. Otherwise, Rx of OAB: fluid and diet modification, antimuscarinic meds, Intravesical BoTox, or InterStim or other neuromodulation
