Had ct scan of abdomen and spine for rib pain, did this check lungs too?

It should have.: To evaluate rib pain, the scan would have to include the ribs. That typically is a ct scan from the top of the chest through the ribs. The scan usually goes down to the level of the kidneys. The lungs are includes in such a scan.

Lungs: Ct abdomen will include the lower lungs and a ct thoracic spine (depending on the technique used) may include a portion of or the entire lungs fields. Check with your doctor.

No: Ct scan of the abdomen only images the lower part of the chest, not the entire chest/lungs.
