Steroid side effects: Steroids have cumulative side effect of weight gain and fat deposition. The longer you are on them the longer it takes to return to normal. Your md will start tapering the Hydrocortisone when they feel the other medications are effective. Never stop steroids abruptly as this can cause dire consequence. You have to be patient as this can take months.
