My fathers siblings both died from cancer. my father died from a heart attack and not cancer what are the chances that i will get cancer from genes ?

A consultation with a clinical geneticist, often affiliated with medical schools or children's hospitals could provide an answer. They review your families history on both sides and construct a family tree. ( types of cancer, age of onset) There are also some tests they can run to detect some cancer genes. Only then might an answer be provided. The cited info is not enough.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. You can reduce your risk of cancer by adopting healthy habits: Eat a mostly vegetarian diet, avoid alcohol, tobacco and street drugs, avoid excessive exposure to sun, maintain healthy weight, get HPV vaccine, exercise 30 minutes each day, drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless. Wish you good health!
