Impaction: Sometimes for fecal impaction a physician or nurse has to manually disimpact the patient. You could try administering a fleet's oil retention enema followed by a tap water enema. If you develop severe abdominal discomfort, abdominal distension or vomiting, it would be best to be evaluated in the er.

Constipation: If enema and suppositories are not working try to increase water intake and lots of fiber. If does not work and you start feeling worse you have to get evaluated. If you develop significant abdominal pain, vomiting and abdominal distension you would need to go to the ed.
