Mitral valve: The best test to assess mitral valve function is by doing echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart).

No: No nuclear stress tests look at blood flow to your heart. They do not show detailed anatomy of the Heart, especially the valves. If you are concerned about Mitral valve function, either have an echo done or CT angiography with attention to the valve function.
