Mitral valve: Leaks which is common....How severe is it? If trivial or mild then cardiologist is generally not needed.

Leaking: The mitral valve is mildly leaking which not an uncommon finding. A murmur may be heard on exam. It is usually not a cause of symptoms. If not associated with symptoms, you may not need to see a cardiologist yet.
