Depends: If you've had the pain for eight days it is less likely to be pancreatitis as by now it would have gotten so bad you would have gone to the er by now. If you can still eat and drink enough and it doesn't cause the pain to increase, then you probably could wait for your appointment.

Other care providers: The hallmarks of an emergent abdominal pain issue are fever, nausea, vomiting, black or bloody stool or failure to move bowels or flatus. If those develop, an immediate evaluation is required. Weight loss would also be a concern, but my hunch is that you are obstipated ; need more miralax!
