It is possible: Even though Cipro (ciprofloxacin) has some antibacterial effect against streptococcal bacteria,but it is not the best antibiotic for suppressing strep if taken for three days and there is a possibility of acquiring strep infection while taking Cipro (ciprofloxacin) for three days only If you have suspicion of strep infection get your self tested and treated with 10 days course of Amoxicillin/penicillin if not allergic or another
