Needs to be checked: There are cases where young teenagers have periods but due to anatomic blockages the blood can not escape. This can cause a lot of pain for young teenagers. This is called a hematometra and can be causes by an imperforate hymen. Schedule a visit with an obgyn experienced with adolescents.
