Many reasons: You may have a medical condition such as thyroid disorder or polycystic ovarian syndrome. There are others. A prolactin producing tumor could cause this. Nutrition, cancer, psychiatric diseases and many other reasons for no menses for a year. Please see your pcp or a gyn and get a good history, exam and proper testing.

Go see your doctor: If you haven't had your period in over a year you have secondary amenorrhea. Secondary amenorrhea is when a woman who has had normal menstrual cycles stops getting her monthly period for three or more months. You need to be evaluated for this as a hormonal imbalance , thyroid condition or a number of other causes may need to be diagnosed and treated.
