A member asked:

What to do if i have these red bumps/lumps on the back of my tongue..is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be taste buds: The dorsum (top surface) of the tongue is full of taste buds. The posterior part of the tongue will have some small rounded bumps that may represent taste buds known as fungiform papillae and larger ones known as circumvallate papilla.
