Dilated duct: Not sure I understand. If the MRCP was normal, that means the ducts were not dilated. Was there another test that showed dilated ducts?

Not much, repeat: If you are not experiencing pain and are not jaundiced and this was discovered on ultrasound exam, you should have study repeated in a few months. MRCP is more exact study to exclude stone or tumor blocking duct and causing dilatation.Sometimes duct size on ultrasound varies a lot with technique and experience of person doing the study.
