A member asked:

How do you know if your child is sensitive to sugar in foods and drinks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Question confusing: The human brain requires glucose (sugar) for fuel & everyone must either ingest it, create it from other dietary sources, or convert protein, glycogen or fat to make it. If you are concerned that a kid acts different when they consume sugar, consider the event. Studies have shown that kids celebrate sweet treats if rarely allowed & blinded tests reveal no change in behavior, sugar or sugar free.
