SEE A DOCTOR: There are MANY causes of chronic cough, for example: post nasal drip, reflux, allergies and even exercise induced asthma. Knowing the cause will allow you to get the best treatment. See your doctor he will help identify and treat the underlying condition.

Find the Cause: First the cause of the problem MUST be identified before any kind of treatment can be recommended.

More info needed: She should begin with a careful check-up and history with her physician. She probably will need a baseline chest x-ray. If she smokes, she should stop immediately or seek assistance from her doctor to stop. No treatments are offered at this time, as we do not have info to know what to treat. Best wishes!
