Unlikely.: Always possible, but very low probability. Currently, MRI is the most sensitive imaging test of the head (particularly in the brain) in routine clinical practice. PET scans are another imaging modality that an oncologist can decide to perform if there is a high index of suspicion even after the negative MRI in some individualized cases.
