A member asked:

Docs, could a traumatic fall cause a spinal curvature?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: A traumatic fall may result in vertebral compression fractures and/or fractures involving the bony roof over the spinal canal (spodylolysis) which may cause front-to-back curvatures known as kyphotic and/or lordotic deformities. Alternatively, trauma can cause accelerated unstable degenerative discs which may result in a lateral curvature (scoliosis) deformity.
