Danger self & others: When a person is a danger to themselves or other this is a reason for admission to psych. hospital. When a patient is decompensatied and cannot care for themselves and are severely impaired in their functioning they may be at risk for harming & being violent to themselves & others or are psychotic & dellusional & severely impaired psych. hospitalization indicated.
