Is it normal to have white areas on my epiglottis?

Not normal.: You might have strep throat, but Amoxicillin should take care of it. Other things can cause it too, such as diphtheria, so show it to your doctor.

Not epiglottis: You may have white areas in the back of your throat but it highly unlikely they are on the epiglottis. Do you have pain, swollen glands, elevated temperature? Usually, the only way an epiglottis is seen is with a laryngeal mirror or an endoscope. Have a physician culture the throat to identify any pathogen.
