Cognitive retraining: If you don't want medication to help these symptoms then try the therapy part of the treatment by development a mindfulness to your thoughts feelings and actions. As you stay in the moment and aware of patterns and triggers to negative behaviors, use competitive thought or action to retrain brain to extinguish unwanted behavior to more appropriate ones.
