Anxiety and depress: There is no reason to feel shame. Anxiety and depression is a disease like any other disease. It is treatable and does not need to stay with you your entire life . It will require some medication, so keep your appointments with the psychiatrist. You also need to see a therapist to help you deal with the feelings you have. With some help you can get through this and live a normal happy life.

Coping anxiety: Consider,making a list of issues to be addressed in the appnt. What symptoms are most difficult to cope w/? Which symptoms keep you from the life you hope for?. Goal: decrease nervous energy.. Increased anxiety= more symptoms.there is no shame in medical mental health issues. Consider looking into NAMI for support.You didn't choose this and can't wish it gone. Go to the ER if you become unsafe

GAd/OCD/depression: Please make sure you get psychotherapy in addition to any medication you may be prescribed. Cognitive therapy can be very effective, especially for mood disorders. A book called "Feeling Good" by David Burns is excellent. Maybe you can download it and get started. Peace and good health.
