Endocrinology: You will need thyroid hormone replacement therapu and routine scans and ultrasounds of the thyroid gland. I suggest consulting with a board certified endocrinologist.

Medical problem: Thyroid disorders such as you describe can be treated and basically a normal life can be lived, so i would not worry. It is a condition that you will need to be treated for and followed as stated, but concern and worry will just cause unnecessary stress that no one needs.
