A member asked:

I've had two asthma attacks in the past two days, how many times can i safely use my nebulizer a day? and if my attacks continue today what do i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See your doc soon: Albuterol nebulizers and/or inhalers can be used every 4 to 6 hrs as needed especially during an asthma flare. See your doc soon - you may need a Prednisone treatment and long acting inhalers taken twice daily that can control your asthma better. This would lower your need for using your albuterol so much. Common side effects from albuterol are increased heart rate and temporary tremors. Best!
