Smoking: Your Surgeon told you a week. He/she must have good reason for that time interval. Asking someone else who has not examined or treated you, looking for an answer you like better, is foolhardy. Smoking interferes with healing. Smoking will kill you. Instead of trying to find a way around your surgeon's orders, find someone who can help you stop harming yourself. Get professional help.
