Wisdom teeth: In most cases, the pain is most noticeable in the first 48 hours (2 days), then start to decrease. When the pain goes away completely depends on how your body responded to surgery, including the healing ability. The body in top-notch condition (exercise, good nutrition, healthful living, lack of disease, etc.) gives you the best, fastest healing chance.

Up to 7 days: Wisdom teeth removal is a surgical procedure and is not completely risk-free. Pain, swelling and infection following surgery is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery. After that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop. Bleeding after 8 days could be a serous problem. See your dentist or an oral surgeon for post-op appointment and treatment.
