No fumare: Smoking will delay clotting and healing and could lead to dry socket which will cause you so much pain you may want to give up smoking which isn't a bad idea.

You shouldn't: Just think about it. If you were to cut your arm, would you blow hot smoke on the cut and expect normal healing?

Absolutely Not: Smoking will dramatically slow your healing and the probability of dry socket is great. As smoking creates negative pressure (think vacuum) and will cause the necessary healing blood clot to dislodge. Also do not drink from a straw, spit or vigorously rinse your mouth. See your dentist/ oral surgeon if problems develop.
